There were quite a few good announcements that Sony made to its investors at their Investor Day coinciding with the end of the Fiscal Year 2022 and while it is true that Playstation is only one of their core businesses (and THE BIG ONE these days), they are betting strongly.

Seems that Sony regretted having a strong stance against PC gaming as this fiscal year 2022 ended with $80 million in revenue THANKS to its effort on bringing Playstation Studio titles to PC as per their earning reports.

Calling it a reinvention period, Sony projects that PC and Mobile versions of its game will reach the $300 million in revenue and by 2025, expect half of Playstation Studio catalog to be available on both platforms.

To reach that conclusion, Sony benchmarks the sales of Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and God Of War (2018) and THOSE ONLY THREE GAMES makes the $80 million sum, respectively counting $60 million, $22.7 million and $26.2 million.

Particularly the mobile side of Playstation will see a diversity of products as they hired Nicola Sebastiani, the former and debuting boss of Apple Arcade and probably Playstation Studio will gain proper developers focused on the mobile platform exclusively.

Observers believe that Sony is not big on the PC gaming sector yet, and it is understandable as this new venture is not yet 2 years old, but definitely Sony started with the right foot on the PC market.
