Sandboxing is a really interesting genre, particularly for content creation and the big social aspect of video games in general and a recent entrant comes from the studio Unity 2, a recent Meta acquisition for Facebook Gaming, to have its game Crayta lead the gaming aspect of the metaverse.
At least that is Meta Platforms plan acquiring Unity 2 last year while Crayta was already released first as a Google Stadia exclusive to later, be ported on PC.
Crayta was launched in 2020 as a Stadia exclusive as a platform that lets players create, share, and play games with friends or a sandbox game which really got good impressions on launch day and its popularity allowed it to gain a PC version.
Facebook Inc., now Meta, envisioned last year on having Crayta as part of their effort on having cloud gaming an important part of its gaming effort and now with the metaverse that is currently on development.
