I guess if it was the desire, Microsoft failed to have Activision Blizzard to be brought on on the mini media tour focused on this early morning announcements and yes, at Redmond, there are plans already once the transaction closes.

When asked about topics like exclusivities and third-party support when Activision Blizzard joins Xbox Game Studio, their leader Matt Booty responded that Microsoft intends to keep games that have a strong and well built community thanks to being on multiple platforms like that and not closing it as Xbox exclusive.

It is rumored that Activision Blizzard had managed to renew with Sony, having Playstation as the main platform for Call Of Duty games until 2025 and Microsoft have already said that if it is for the greater good of COD, they are more than happy to keep working with Sony.

However, Booty did recognize that Xbox exclusives games are intended for the future of Activision Blizzard as part of Xbox Game Studio, particularly future titles and intellectual properties.

And finally, it was once again mentioned that existing libraries from Activision, Blizzard and their respective inner studios will be the focus of a Game Pass integration to solidify the offering for gamers.

The Activision Blizzard buyout is slated to cost Microsoft $68.7 billion and it is pending approval by the FTC and it will be a challenging one despite that the Department Of Justice surprisingly decided not to run an investigation of it own, as current FTC leaders are looking to avoid more expansions and growth of tech giant and this includes Microsoft.

However it is important not to forget on how we got here, and it is the effect of the constant workforce toxicity-sexual harrasement environment within Activision Blizzard and their reluctancy to fix that even from CEO Bobby Kotick, who was also exposed as being an author of his own wrongdoing and already cost them losing legal battle with US Jobs regulators and transitioning deals with victims included former and current employees.
