Some are not surprised, others might sound surprised and this includes Sony. A former pro consumer Watchdog in the United Kingdom has officially sued Sony regarding Playstation and how it does the pricing within the Playstation Store.

Leading the class action lawsuit is Alex Neill who served previously as the managing director of nonprofit consumer advice organization Which UK, and he claims that Sony overcharged consumers with 5 billion sterling pounds or US equivalent of 5.9 billion dollars on games sold via the Playstation Store.

This was all thanks to its position as the primary seller of the digital version of the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 games the average of overpricing consumer and also takes 30% cut from thor parties publishers, including DLCs.

Neil based its accusation as "the actions of Sony are costing millions of people who can't afford it, particularly when we're in the midst of a cost of living crisis and the consumer purse is being squeezed like never before."

It is not uncommon that over time companies like Sony have been seen as cheating, but this is one of the most considerable lawsuits and with the possibility of setting a precedent if the Competitive Court of Appeals accepts the case and rules against Sony.

Alex Neil is requesting the court that Sony return a £67/$76 per customer that will sum the £5/5.9 billion that Playstation got as over charging.
