I was reminded by Ali Korruption this morning that I haven't written anything about the next video game massive production based on the Harry Potter universe called Hogwarts Legacy and she was right!
The game for some reason did not reach the news during the E3-Less E3 season this year and the game is scheduled to be released in December.
So let's get to what should be waiting for the game.
Hogwarts Legacy was in development between late 2017 and early 2018 as WB Games (with Warner Bros Interactive as boss), acquired the development studio Avalanche Software at first half of 2017 and was officially announced on the State Of Play 2020 where Sony presented officially the Playstation 5.
The game will be sold as a open world RPG game set in the 1800 (not Harry Potter's timeline) and you will be developing your wizard/witch character as player see fits and about house slection, it was recently announced that just because Griffindor's house are the generally good guys and Slitheryn the generally bad house in the books, that will not be the case in the game.
While players will have the freedom to choose their house, the game's design will have replay value when a different house is chosen after your first gameplay and finishing the story.
Talking about story, the plot of Hogwarts Legacy will have your character be the key an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart, is capable of manipulating a mysterious ancient magic, and will need to help uncover why this forgotten magic has suddenly made a resurgence and the ones that are simultaneously trying to harness it.
Despite the game using the same Playstation 5 presentation, Hogwarts Legacy is NOT a Playstation 4 & 5 exclusives and it will also be releasing on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch on December.
