Those who had known me in social media, I started as a big simulcast as I practically streamed in parallel with Twitch, Facebook Gaming, Theta TV, YouTube and Trovo (and as stressful as it sound, it was actually funny before taking seriously trying to grow in a more controlled way) and will always say that simulcasting is an ideal action for content creation.

The curious case of Twitch practically is the one that created the paradigm that "simulcasting is bad" and I always disagreed.

But it seems that Twitch is easing things a little bit as surprisingly, Amazon-owned streaming platform has updated their Partners FAQ and the words "stream on other platforms" are now included.

Of course there is no perfect or balanced world with Twitch as the looseness on exclusivity only applies to networks that are like TikTok or Instagram where content can only be seen in vertical and mobile format.

But no, YouTube, Theta TV, Trovo, Facebook Gaming, DLive and many others that are obvious competitors are still a no-no.

I do really want to know what you think about this breaking news in the comments!

UPDATE

Twitch confirmed also that Twitch Partners can NOW stream on other platforms but NO simulcast if is not a TikTok/Instagram or look-a-like services.
