More chances on going big with your Stadia refunds!
The list of gaming studio that are stepping up for Stadia players
Well, I know we are already a week later and have written and spoken about it. But I think it is fair that I should highlight some of the gaming studios that are responding to the surprising wind-down and closing of Stadia in January 2023. For everyone that has invested on Stadia will be receiving a refund for direct Stadia Store and online Google Store purchases related to Stadia, that’s...
  • In a follow-up on the aftermath of Google announcing the wind-down and cancellation of Stadia:

*Ubisoft confirmed to The Verge, that all game invested on the Cloud Gaming platform, will be given to players via the Ubisoft Connect and those who started an Ubisoft+ via Stadia will be getting news soon.
*IO Interactive, the developers of the HITMAN latest game series, will be given news soon too.
*Splash Damage, developers for the Stadia-exclusive Outcasters, are sorting out how they can port the game elsewhere (it is rumored that Google still holds the rights and they were also blindsided of Stadia EOL announcement without even let them know before hand as the rest of devs that ported and/or developed games for Stadia).
*Google probably will refund devs that ported games at Stadia & if it happens, Bryant Chappel of The Nerf Report, estimates that the sum of the refunds can go almost $1 billion.

And adding the consumer's refund, End Of Fiscal Year 2023 for Alphabet "Other bets" section will be a hot topic all right.
