We got an interesting update on the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak situation, where Rockstar Games actually confirmed that the footage that was passed on the internet to be legit. Now, a hacker claiming to be behind the leak had made a demand and if not met, he got more to release.

A GTA Forums user called Teapot claims to be the hacker behind the leaks and in a thread, he claims that he pretended to release more content and reportedly the next thing could be an internal PDF containing the tutorial for the Camera at GTA 6.

“Tutorial for the Camera” might sound like this is not for gamers, but an internal guide for developers.

Now there has been some confusion as it was reported via social media that GTA Forums have been having trouble identifying and confirming that the user is not bluffing or there is another “Teapot” account.

GTA Forum is an unofficial site for Grand Theft Auto fans that has been struggling on controlling the content related to the leaks as they are preventing the site from being slapped with a DMCA and thus forcing them to go offline.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games had the FBI taking jurisdiction of their network intrusion that led to the Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks.

Security communities are debating about the identity of the hacker and the noise is that is a 16-year-old leader of the group ‘Lapsus$’ and actually, I wrote some months ago that he was arrested in the UK of course for running the group as an international network that reached Brazil.

Evidently, some people never learn if this happens to be true.
