Microsoft just deployed the Xbox firmware update for October and applies for Xbox One and Xbox Series S and X, being the main focus about aesthetical changes to personalization of your Xbox experience.

Microsoft announced the content of the October update for the Windows based firmware of the Xbox console including bug squashing for controllers, visual enhancement and more.

Xbox Players will now be able to control their TV volume within the audio and music section of the Xbox guide, and the choice to mute all start-up sounds.

It also introduces “improved setup screens to choose and change your home Xbox”, and this probably assumes multiple Xbox hardware in a household.

Also, a firmware update featuring bug fixes for USB flight sticks that connect to the Xbox Adaptive Controller and additional bug fixes for various Xbox pads.

Finally, aesthetic changes include ‘Standby’ mode is now ‘Sleep’ mode and ‘Energy saver’ is now ‘Shutdown' as well as Xbox passkey and guest key, which have been renamed Xbox PIN and Xbox guest PIN respectively.
