In an awkward U-Turn, CD Projekt Red finally admitted that Phantom Liberty, the first and unfortunately only expansion slated for Cyberpunk 2077 game, will NOT be free of charge and it is expected that users pay for the expansion.
In an interview with GamesRadar, CD Projekt Red’s Public Relationship Director Radek Grabowski, confirmed the fact that the expansion will not be free of charge, but did not elaborate how much the expansion will cost.
Hey, I have NO problem with the expansion cost, but it would have been nice if CD Prijekt Red would just confirm right away and not given the notion that the expansion was free of charge as many outlets, including here, were in the belief that the expansion was free of cost.
To be fair, it is expected that the Phantom Liberty expansion is not just a set of cosmetics to modify further your V character but a complete storyline and maybe of course, CD Projekt Red recovering the expenses, including the services of breathtaking actor KEanu Reeves reprising the role of Johnny Silverhand.
Slated to be released in 2023 for PC and next-gen consoles, Phantom Liberty was announced as the first and only expansion that Cyberpunk 2077 will be gaining which follows V after the events of the main game and swearing to his new citizenship of the New United States.
