In a surprising Nintendo Direct, Nintendo and Illumination presented the second full trailer of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, based in the universe of Super Mario Bros. and Nintendo main franchise that will come to theaters, three decades after the original Super Mario Bros. movie co-starred by Bob Hopkins and John Leguizano.

“From Illumination and Nintendo comes a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. The film will be released in North America on April 7, 2023 and in Japan on April 28, 2023.”
