Despite the popularity of the game viewed as heavily inspired by Halo Multiplayer, Splitgate, things are going for changes and developers 1047 Games made the unexpected announcement today that Splitgate will have no more new content.

Basically, they are managing resources to what's next for them and we might see a first original game in the universe of Splitgate and not necessarily it is a Splitgate 2, but if comes that original Splitgate shall  not receive more new content, it means the scope of the new project is really the next big thing for them.

While the game will remain online and receive maintenance updates, I fear that this will mean a reference to Blizzard's Overwatch 2-type of script, where the sequel will go over and will have a predecessor going offline and I hope I am wrong on this one.
