It’s been a while since the last time Ubisoft said that it wanted to create more movies after the release of an original-story Assassin’s Creed movie in theaters (Netflix is developing a new one btw) and now we got some news, first from a few years ago.

The Hollywood Reporter reported this week that Ubisoft and Paramount Pictures are moving to develop a movie based on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, which is the 2nd content that both parties wanted to do since 2018 and after Without Remorse.

I, once again, bended my rule on NO RUMOR as THR has a respectable record with their moles in the industry and also because details includes that Chad Stahelski, former stuntman and John Wick movies director will also make its directorial debut outside John Wick (John Wick actually being its directorial debut in general).

Talking about Without Remorse, the movie will actually be serving as a prequel for the proposed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Movie that will include Michael B. Jordan as main star and playing again as John Clark, all despite Paramount selling the rights to Amazon for continuing developing Without Remorse.

It remains to see how this develops but Paramount is not interested that the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Movie lands on Paramount+ first and wants it a full theatrical release.
