Hours anticipating the first main Xbox gaming event with Xbox Developers Direct former Nintendo partner and now Xbox Game Studio member, Rare, has confirmed the release of the remastered version of Nintendo 64 classic GoldenEye 007 on Friday January 27th, 2023.

The game was confirmed to have full Xbox controller support, Xbox achievements, alternative control options, and native 16:9 resolution up to 4K Ultra HD.

GoldenEye, a classic FPS Nintendo 64 and the first non-Doom/Quake/Wolfenstein game that transcendent enough to become not just popular but an all time favorite, was announced on a Nintendo Direct that the game will have a remastered launch on both Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately for Xbox users, the multiplayer online experience appears to remain unchanged that it will be an exclusive for Nintendo Switch version and remains to see if this is a time-exclusive.
