CD Projekt Red worked around the clock after some platforms did not behave as expected when the next-gen update for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt went live and now, with Patch 4.01, the polish studios now can concentrate on quality of life instead of just fixing.

Patch 4.10 for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt went live today and CD Projekt Red detailed what it is included on the update that is coming for consoles and PC.

The main message of Patch 4.01 is that overall the update should bring improvements and bring various fixes to all platforms.

For PC specific novelty includes a fix for a issue where the screen space reflections setting wasn’t working despite being turned on, and adds a new performance mode for ray-traced global illumination, meanwhile for consoles, the patch resolves issues some players have had saving the game, and includes improvements to screen space reflections and ray tracing mode.

The Patch 4.01 varies on file size depending on platform and PC via Steam and GOG should be between 4 and 5 GB, Playstation 4 and PS5 should be around 5 and Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X should be between 10 to 20GB which proves that for Xbox, things were interesting in fixes.
