Playstation has been a little shy about mobile approach in respect to Microsoft and Nintendo, but on the other hand, not shy about getting the wallet out for making a purchase for the better cause for Playstation.

Sony announced today that it has entered into an agreement to buy Savage Game Studios, a mobile gaming development startup, founded by veterans of the gaming industry.

With this, Playstation will be now felt with the mobile gaming community led by Android and iOS and this could mean that more derivatives from Playstations Studios going to Smartphones in near future.

For the time being, the studio will maintain its autonomy and the first main title is already slated for a 2025 release, but it will be the head of the new Playstation Studios Mobile Division.

No details on what is being worked first as the division's debut project, but if industry's example like Genshin Impact with approaches by Activision, EA, PUBG and Take-Two (via purchasing Zynga) are telling us something, is that mobile gaming is taking height as never before.
