For 4 weeks straight, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has beaten the theaters chart and since premiere weekend, has been breaking records, but took the most anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe newest to give it the 1st place spot, but there is happiness with Chris Pratt.

Weekend estimate is The Super Mario Bros. Movie displaced by the latest and probably last entry of Guardians Of The Galaxy as we meet in the last decade with  $110 million earning in the US market.

This will make actor Chris Pratt (Mario Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Star Lord/Peter Quill Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3) achieve a rare record of an actor being in two consecutive No.1 movies at the box office.

Ironically, it was Marvel’s Ant Man actor Johnathan Majors being the most recent one with Creed III with Ant Man And The Wasp QuantumMania but even being so short a time difference, makes the stat rare as it is not common to see the same actors in multiple movies almost at the same time.

But of course, things haven't been the same since 2020 for everybody…

As for this weekends’ accolades, The Super Mario Bros. Movie became the first Illumination and Universal animation title ever to surpass $500 million domestically, the second highest-grossing animated film of all time domestically, and the third-biggest Universal release ever behind Jurassic World and E.T..
