It is already known that IO Interactive is quite busy with HITMAN: World Of Assassinations as a live service and two new projects that forced the development of the next HITMAN to be a tertiary priority.

One of the top projects currently is the newest and original 007 game in years and IO Interactive wants to prove they are serious about being honored on being licensed as they founded a brand new studio in Brighton, England called IOI Brighton.

Of course, the main task of IOI Brighton is to work on the proposed 007 game but the studio will serve also as support for all other IO Interactive projects as per IOI CEO Hakan Abrak told to GameIndustry.biz.

“We are extremely proud and excited to open our next studio in Brighton, where we see enormous potential to expand our incredible team and attract the very best talent from the exciting UK development scene.

The [Brighton] studio is for all projects.

We are working a bit differently compared to other companies. They’re more like ‘this studio is working on this project’ or ‘this studio is doing some elements of this project’.

Across our studios, our projects are front and centre. Which means anybody, regardless of what studio or country they’re working from, they can work criss-cross on different projects. It’s not like in Istanbul they’re on 007, and in Brighton they’re only doing Project Fantasy… they can all work on the different projects.”

The announced Project 007 by Io Interactive is a new original James Bond game with full support from MGM Studios, owner of the 007 James Bond franchise and while there is no known footage or a projected release date, IO Interactive did acknowledged that they were allowed to create a “digital” James Bond and will not be based on any of the real-life actors who had portrayed in 007 movies.
