Finally, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the curtain on what is next for Warcraft and while it is NOT Warcraft IV, World Of Warcraft has definitely been a way to maintain the series alive and for a good long time.
Dragonflight is the news expansion for World Of Warcraft and seems to be finally a focus on Azeroth’s Dragon Aspects which appeared and was highlighted during Cataclysm back in 2010 and Aspects have sought the help of the world’s mortal heroes in order to restore their powers and to stop a newly emerging evil. To do this, players will journey to the Dragon Isles, which will be split up into five different zones. Players can also navigate the Dragon Isles through the air using Dragonriding, which seems to be somewhere between gliding and flying.
The lore tells that Dragon Aspects sealed off the Dragon Isles after the global catastrophe of the Sundering 10,000 years ago, and said that they would return when the time was right and the land was healing.
With Dragonflight, introducing the newest race called Dracthyr: shapeshifting dragons with draconic and humanoid forms. The Dracthyr will only be able to play as the Evoker, a new class that’s also being introduced in Dragonflight. The Evoker is a class that can only be chosen by Dracthyr characters.
Dragonflight does not have a release date yet, but Blizzard said to expect news for the release, including an alpha testing coming soon.
