There is an unfortunate possibility that a crowdfunding campaign is not a guaranteed success nor it is an “shopping opportunity” as there is risk for the buyer as for the proposer of the idea and unfortunately Projekt Z became the latest example.

While having less than a week for the Kickstarter deadline, 314 Arts confirmed that it had canceled the crowdfunding campaign for ProjektZ since it had only achieved more than 35% of the goal of $100,000.

Particularly Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Now got a special interest as their respective version was a perk guaranteed if the goal would have reached an extra $5,000 of funding.

314 Arts claims that the game will come out anyway and for now they cannot share details of what would be the next step and while I opted not to reach them directly as I will respect their space on regrouping, I can safely say that it seems they had a Plan B and probably a Plan C.

Projekt Z is in-development free-to-play first-person shooter set in a WW2 Zombie scenario on a secret German island adn focuses around the "Projekt Z", a project run by the Nazis to turn Zombies, which have been discovered on the island earlier, into weapons to turn the war around in Nazi Germany's favor.
