While Intel is not a stranger in GPU, particularly APU's scenes, the american maker of the Intel Core processor had found the "perfect time" to be a third force between Nvidia and AMD for a proper dedicated GPU for gamers.
But what to expect?
An adequate experience for at least 1080p resolution or toe-to-toe with Nvidia GeForce 3060 or AMD Radeon 660XT which depending on your Full HD needs, can be good.
This past weekend Intel gave us an overlook of the Intel Arc A750, the first GPU for PC builts after Intel debutted the ARc brand on GPU for Laptops early this year and practically the Arc A750 performs 1.06 to 1.15 times better than the standard RTX 3060 on games like Cyberpunk 2077, F1 2021, Control, Borderlands 3, and Fortnite.
While it is not bad that they acknowledged doing testing with an 1440p monitor with Cyberpunk 2077, a demanding game itself, the A750 could not keep up in the 60fps mark.
And I said it is good that Intel didn't oversell and underdeliver expectations with its first true GPU outside of the Iris Graphics brand as first impressions always count and of course there is room for improvements.
The Arc A750 Limited Edition GPU is expected to launch this year but Intel hasn't revealed this yet nor pricing but if the GeForce 3060/Radeon 6600XT are the competition target, the card should be between the $400 to $700 price interval in my best estimate.
