Microsoft have deployed the September update for Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X firmware update (based on Windows 10) and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 are the main course.
The announcement for Xbox consoles in general, includes a redesigned user interface for games library that streamline access to all games you have access to install and play.
All games now show all the games you own as well as any games you have access to with your current Xbox subscriptions, including Xbox Game Pass, EA Access, and claimed Games with Gold.
Also, the update includes the ability to have the user select storage locations for games and apps on installations on Xbox consoles just as the Xbox for Windows 10 and 11 does now and this will help you separate games immediately from main storage to secondary.
Xbox also gained a more social aspect of the platform with the ability to use the Game Bar to make shareable moments of your gaming to social media and instant messages, along with Party Chat with proper noise suppression controls.
Finally and the big part of the update is that users of Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 can make customization via the Xbox itself, with the notable ability to choose from a wide array of colors that combine red, blue, and green LEDs to produce over 16 million hues of light, all for the Xbox button.
The customization allows you to choose specific colors with Hexadecimal value options and you have a set of profiles if you have multiple color tastes.
With this Microsoft announced the availability of the White finish of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, selling for $129.99 at the Microsoft Store.
