I am going to be honest, I am 50-50 happy/mad with Twitch, but it is a constant and practically, a normal feeling these days for content creators of all class, casual, part-timers and SPECIALLY full-timers.
But I don’t deny every GOOD step that the streaming subsidiary of Amazon is trying to do, specialist about the eternal problem of discovery when the algorithm naturally favors viewers.
Late last week, Twitch decided to do something new and probably would be something that GGs already have been doing on its own.
Called the Channel Switcher, Twitch will be testing a new functioning that simulates the TV Channel browsing that we do in the living room or if you have a TV on your bedroom and apparently, the function will be curated accordingly, not with the amount of users already tuned in, but by different factors including the chances that content might be of interest.
Twitch already confirmed that the preview for each channel will last 60 second each opportunity and no ads will not be shown.
At GGs, one of the features of this social Network is the “Going Live'' button that allows you to add a special liste in the “Live Streams” Section and let you be listed on active streamer, content creator live on Twitch.
And best of all, you don’t have to worry if you forgot to turn the function on as it was designed to check for 5 seconds if you are live and if you're not, it will go off automatically (yet, we ask to always remember to voluntarily turn it off to give everybody a chance.
Recently, the GGs main page was modified to further improve your chances of being discovered by highlighting the top header of the GGs main site.
Finally and to further improve chances, Twitch for the first time ever, is increasing the max of custom tags that you can add to your stream from 5 to 10 elements outside the defaults that the category that you chose brings.
