Another big update from the Fighting Gaming Community came from Bandai Namco and we are still on the lifecycle for Dragon Ball FighterZ as an important announcement was shared during the festivities of EVO 2022.
Bandai Namco, in an opportunity on stage, announced that the next-gen version of Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently in development and will also have their netcode rollback to have improved matchmaking and allowing crosplaying between platforms where the game is available.
The netcode rollback was actually delayed due the pandemic and missed an opportunity to have it deployed by the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Championship Finals previous the pandemic saga.
Unfortunately, for Playstation 4 and Xbox One owner, the next-gen version will no come with a free upgrade on the respective version at least when the proper PS5 & Xbox Series S/X get released but Bandai Namco assure that they will have news about the original version soon without saying if there will be a free upgrade for already owners.
Also, it appears that the Nintendo Switch Version is out of the netcode rollback as there was no mention of this underrated version of Dragon Ball FighterZ.
