John Riccitiello has (un)surprisingly retire as President, CEO, Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of #Unity.

This is the effect of the failed reformed monetization of the platform universally rejected by indie devs community.

Besides Unity, Riccitiello is know for his tenure as Electronic Arts since mid 90's until last decade and was specifically remembered on pressing on heavy monetization on games like FIFA and tried to push the same formula on Battlefield, including charging for weapon reloading.

Good morning, I am going to say it as I am not an hypocrite and needed to say it and own it if I alienate some of you...

One of the difficult things about being a content creator is appealing to your audience knowing that the vast mayoralty of potential audience ARE wrong, particularly on taste of gaming.

NO... Battle Royales SHOULD NOT BE A STANDARD AND ENOUGH REPRESENTATION OF THE INDUSTRY.

NO... Single Player Games are not PASSÉ.

NO... There is NOTHING WRONG exploring the lore of each game.

YES... EMOTE AND COSMETIC ARE CANCER AND NOT A NEED.

YES, YOU IGNORANTLY ENABLED developmental studios on thinking more on the money and less the art and hence Konami, EA, and others as their current state with lootboxes and monetization...

AND THE WORST OF ALL... Now growing as a gamer content creator is stupidly stigmatized to certain networks and being a bouffon ...

I don't apologize for my honesty and ready for the consequences... and yes, insert the Grampa Simpson yelling to a cloud meme...

What keeps you on twitch if you stream on there? Genuinely curious, I feel like I’ve stayed for the wrong reasons: super easy to setup and go live, easy monetization (even if I say I don’t like it I stayed cuz it and I’ll admit that) but with all the hate raid stuff going on but not much seems to be going on about it (could be wrong just haven’t seen much), and minor little things for me personally I’m not sure it’s the place for me. Plus exclusivity…come on, I know it’s been a thing but I still hate that ya know
